Fights outside House of Blues amid Kodak Black no-show

On Wednesday April 17, 2019, after rapper Kodak Black’s no show at the House of Blues Boston, fans took to the street to display their distaste. Boston Police where called to 15 Lansdowne Street at 21:00 hours to contain a crowd of 100+ fans in what was described as generally unruly behavior.

It was later revealed the next morning that Kodak had been arrested at the Canadian border on drug possession and weapon charges. Preventing him from performing at his back-to-back shows scheduled at the venue. Evidently fans where not aware of this at the time and showed their dissatisfaction by chanting “fuck Kodak” and swarming a tour bus.

Multiple arrests where made, notable a man that was seen “assaulting a security staff member,” according to a statement from BPD. The man was allegedly trying to re-enter the venue, and faced charges of assault and battery, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and trespassing. Live Boston reported multiple EMS transports as well, but no further information is known regarding the incident.
