On Thursday April 18, 2019 at approximately 15:30 hours Boston Fire Department and members of Boston Fire Fighters Local 718 IAFF as well as Boston EMS (Emergency Medical Services) responded to a 2-alarm fire at 3 Dever Street in Dorchester.
The fire swept through a home in Dorchester late Thursday afternoon, Boston fire said. First officers at the scene encountered a heavy fire at the home on corner of Bowdoin and Dever streets, where all residents were safely evacuated, though two people, who were not identified, suffered minor injuries .EMS reports two transports and one refusal.
The estimated damages were estimated at about $500,000, Boston fire said, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
