Triple Shooting in Roxbury Leaves One Victim Dead

On October 26, 2019, at approximately 03:45 hours, Boston EMTs and Boston Police officers assigned to District B-2 responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting on Westminster Avenue in Roxbury.

Upon arriving to the scene, first responders immediately began canvassing for victims, witnesses, and evidence. They quickly found two victims on Westminster Avenue with injuries consistent with a shooting. One of the victims had severe and life threatening injuries, and both were taken by ambulance to a local area hospital to receive treatment.

Soon after, police discovered another victim down the road on Ruthven Street with non-life threatening injuries. Reports say that she was shot on Westminster Avenue and left the scene immediately after. While the victims were getting treated in the hospital, one of the male victims eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Due to the severity of the incident, the supervisor on the scene called full notifications. Homicide Detectives, Crime Scene Response Investigators, Command Staff members and the District Attorney’s Office were all alerted and began responding immediately. Responders were seen late into the night marking evidence.

Witnesses said that the shooting came from a house on Westminster Avenue, and also report that arguing was heard beforehand. Currently, there is no further information.
