Boston Police Investigate after call for Shots Fired on Washington Street

On January 18, 2020, at approximately 03:30 hours, Boston Police officers assigned to District C-11, B-3 and B-2 responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired near 235 Washington Street in Dorchester.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders began canvassing for evidence and witnesses and requested the Patrol Supervisor to assist. They found multiple shell casings as well as ballistic damage throughout the area. Damaged areas include a car and the front of a building.

Since this area experienced a deadly shooting just a week prior, the residents were already on edge. Luckily, no one was harmed in this particular incident.

Police are still investigating this incident and there is no further information at this time. Detectives from District A-1 are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Any individuals with information can contact District A-1 Detectives at 617-343-4240.
