On April 7th, 2020 at approximately 17:30 hours Boston Police Officers assigned to Area B-2 were called to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Dale Street and Washington Street in Roxbury. Witnesses reported to police that four black males were seen fleeing from the car in the direction of Oakland Street.
At about the same general time, shots were reported in the area of Thornton Street and Oakland Street. Officers managed to chase the suspects on foot to the area between Thwing Street, Marcella Street and Highland Street. Through setting a perimeter, teamwork and the assistance of two K-9s, officers were able to take three males into custody.
Ballistics were located in the intersection of Thornton Street and Oakland Street as well as two firearms that were recovered in the wooded area that the suspects fled into. Detectives were called to scene where they processed the ballistics and the firearms.
Great work by all the officers that were involved, through their team work and commitment there are two less guns on the street.
