At approximately 19:37 hours on April 18th, 2020 Boston Police Officers from District E-13 responded to a ShotSpotter activation for 5 rounds in the area of 57 Walden Street in Jamaica Plain. Arriving officers located a 16-year-old male in the Stop and Shop parking lot who had been shot 8+ times in the leg, torso and arm.
Officers immediately rendered aid, including applying a tourniquet while requesting a “push” on EMS. Boston EMS Ambulance 13, Paramedic 40, Division 3 and C8 quickly arrived and took over care of the young man, transporting him to a local area hospital where he is in critical but stable condition, and it is believed he will make a full recovery.
A crime scene was established with detectives and Crime Scene Response processing the scene. Multiple ballistics were recovered in the street and a pair of blood spattered white Nike’s could be seen in the parking lot where the boy had been.
