At approximately 16:35 hours on May 13th, Boston EMS Ambulance 2, Paramedic 2, the Division 2 Lieutenant and Shift Commander C8 as well as Boston Police Officers from District B-2 responded to the area of Dudley Street, Dearborn Street and Zeigler St for the report of a person shot.
Arriving EMS units were unable to locate any victims or signs of anyone shot. When officers arrived they began speaking to witnesses and reviewing camera footage of the area. Three separate possible shooters were identified, with two fleeing on foot and one in a dark colored pickup truck.
By using the video footage and witness statements police were able to recover a hoodie that one of the suspects was wearing at the entrance of a parking lot in the area of 288 Dudley Street.
Officers as well as a K-9 began to search the area for additional evidence. Ballistics were located in a lot on the corner of Ziegler Street and Dearborn Street. Eventually the K-9 and handler hit on a trash can in the lot of where the sweatshirt was located. A small black and silver semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the scene.
