Yesterday in the early morning around 03:00 hours Boston Police apprehend Shalik Jordan, 28-years-old, of Dorchester, a highly wanted fugitive that was being sought after by The Massachusetts State Police for multiple warrants that are believed to be drug or gun related. The arrest came after a lengthy pursuit through multiple districts in the city.
The contact with Jordan originated after Boston Police Officers from District C-6 responded to 69 Boston Road in South Boston to investigate a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot.
When approached by uniformed Officers in marked police units, Jordan fled the area in an erratic manner at a high rate of speed. He continued to flee with units in pursuit for approximately 5 minutes leading them through multiple areas of the city.
Jordan was finally stopped with out injuries, accident or incident in the area of Dorchester Ave and Summer Street next to South Station Downtown. He is currently facing his multiple warrants as well as additional charges for failure to stop. No further information is available at this time.
Jordan is not new to these incidents, in 2017 he was arrested by the Youth Violence Strike Force as part of an ongoing investigation in the area of Wheatland Avenue in Dorchester after a search warrant led to the recovery of a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson Bodyguard handgun which was later revealed to have been reported stolen. He was also arrested in Somerville in 2017 on charges of Attempt to Commit a Crime to wit Unarm Burglary, Extortion by Threat of Injury Conspiracy, Reckless Operation of Motor Vehicle, and Stop for Police, Fail. In 2013 he was arrested by Boston Police in Roslindale on a warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm and armed robbery during a traffic stop and in 2012 Jordan was arrested by Brookline Police for driving without license.
