Woman Stuck by Commuter Rail Train Overnight

At approximately 21:50 hours overnight Boston EMS, Boston Fire and Boston Police responded to the MBTA Newmarket Commuter Rail Station after reports that a Keolis CRMBTA Train has struck possibly two people were received.

Boston EMTs and Paramedics with the assistance and expertise of Boston Fire were able to conduct a successful technical rescue and extricate the woman from under the train. During the incident the woman could be seen moving and speaking with rescuers.

A second person was not located even after an extended search of the area. The one victim surprisingly escaped with non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported by Boston EMS to a local area hospital.

At this time the facts surrounding the incident are still under investigation and the cause of the accident is still unknown.
