Dead-End Street Leads to Fleeing Suspect’s Downfall

Overnight at approximately 21:45 hours Boston Police Officers from District B-3 attempted to stop a motor vehicle in the Franklin Field Projects in Dorchester. The vehicle which was occupied three times instead chose to flee from police at a high rate of speed and in an erratic manner.

The driver of the vehicle however made one costly mistake, taking a right on to Westview Street where he inevitably boxed himself into a dead end in the rear of the Lee School. With only one option left all three boys decided to jump out and make a break for it on foot.

At this point Officers from B-3, B-2 and even Troopers from The Massachusetts State Police had surrounded Franklin Field, The Lee School and Harambee Park. Two of the boys were apprehended in the rear of the School, however the third make some quick moves all the way to the other side. He was finally apprehended at the Tennis Club on the Blue Hill Ave side of the park after a short struggle.

At this time we have confirmed that one 17-year-old man has been arrested and charged with Delinquent to wit; Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle. It is assumed that the other two males were released back into the custody of their parents. At this time no further information is available.
