Shoot-out at Franklin Field Projects Sends One to the Hospital

Yesterday Police Officers from District B-3 responded to multiple ShotSpotter activations in the are of 103 Stratton Street in the Franklin Field Housing Projects. Over 30 rounds were reported by ShotSpotter as Officers rushed to the scene.

First arriving Officers located an adult male victim suffering from what appeared to be two gun shot wounds to his leg. Officers applied a tourniquet and immediately called for EMS assistance.

Ambulances arrived moments later stabilizing man, and transporting him to local area trauma center with what are considered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

After canvassing the scene officers located numerous spent shell casings and ballistic damage to vehicles along the street. District Detectives were called to the scene where they processed and photographed the evidence before collecting it.
