Last night at approximately 20:30 hours Boston Police Officers from District C-6 as well as members of the Bomb Squad and K-9 assets responded to the T.J. Maxx in South Bay for a possible bomb threat.
The store was evacuated of all staff and a perimeter was set by Officers. After EOD members arrived, the explosives K-9 was sent in to do a protective sweep of the store. After about 30 minutes the sweep was negative and it became clear that it was a hoax call.
After the building was properly searched and cleared the employees were allowed to return. The incident is still under investigation and at this time no arrests have been made.
