Shooting Becomes a Real Pain in the Butt for Mattapan Man Overnight

At approximately 23:45 hours Boston Police Officers from District B-3 and Boston EMS EMTs responded to Havelock Street off of Blue Hill Ave in Mattapan for the reported person shot. On arrival Officers confirmed that a person had in fact been shot.

EMTs quickly arrived and located the bullet wound in the man’s buttocks. Originally the man refused transport to the Hospital but after speaking with an EMS Lieutenant he agreed to go to the hospital.

A crime scene was established, and during a canvas of the area multiple spent shell casings were located as well as ballistic damage to homes and vehicles. Detectives were called to the scene and the evidence was processed.

The man who was shot was transported with a very, very minor, non-life-threatening injuries to a local area hospital. At this time no arrests have been made and no suspect descriptions are available.
