Boston FD Quickly Knocks Down 3rd Floor Fire

Shortly before 19:30 hours last night, the Boston Fire Department struck Box 175, Blue Hill Ave & Moreland Street, for number 58 Blue Hill Ave. First arriving companies reported heavy smoke showing from a 3 story wood frame multi family home.

The fire appeared to have started either on the roof or on the third floor in the rear of the building. Crews quickly charged multiple lines and make a fast attack at the blaze. Firefighters were able to locate the source of the fire in the rear 3rd floor pantry and the fire was successfully knocked down.

An extensive overhaul was conducted to ensure that the fire would stay out. At this time no injuries were reported, with Boston EMS EMTs and Command Staff standing by on scene just in case. A total cost of damages is under investigation as well as the cause of the fire by BFD’s Fire Investigation Unit. Great work by all who responded and made sure that this fire didn’t get any worse.
