Shots Fired on Busy Dorchester Street Monday Evening

At approximately 18:50 hours Boston Police a officers from District C-11 responded to reports of shots fired in the area or Norton Street in Dorchester. A ShotSpotter activation for 11+ rounds at 75 Norton Street as well as 911 calls from as far away as Mt Ida Road alerted officers who quickly arrived on scene.

No victim was located however numerous spent shell casings could be seen scattered across the busy roadway. A heavily trafficked area by pedestrians at that time it was a miracle that no one was struck by gunfire. Detectives were called to the scene and the casings as well as ballistic damage to multiple vehicles were photographed.

At this time no arrests have been made however video footage of the incident should help Detectives catch the culprit. No further information is available at this time.
