At approximately 14:46 hours this afternoon Boston Police Officers from District B-2 responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 108 Harold Street in Roxbury. While responding 911 also began receiving calls for shots fired and a person possibly shot in the area or 123 Harrishof Street, around the corner from the ShotSpotter activation.
Units quickly arrived on scene before some 911 callers even hung up, utilizing the ShotSpotter Technology to give them a heads start to the incident. Officers located a white Nissan Rogue with heavy ballistic damage and a male operator.
Boston EMS arrived on scene shortly after and transported the man with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a shooting.
Officers conducted a canvas of the area locating spent shell casings in the road, as well as security cameras from the incident and statements from witnesses who were able to provide a suspect description.
Detectives were called to the scene and they processed the evidence, taking photos and collecting the shell casings. The victims car was towed from the scene to allow it to be processed mitre effectively.
