2-Alarm Fire in Brighton

At approximately 01:45 hours Boston Fire responded to the Struck Box at 45 Hooker Street in Brighton. First arriving companies reported heady fire showing from the 3rd floor of a 3 story brick residential building that was occupied.

A second alarm was quickly ordered, with firefighters attempting to knock down the fire for almost half an hour before it was finally extinguished. Companies continued an extensive overhaul and made sure the fire was our first good. 7 people and 2 cats were displaced with the Red Cross responding to the scene to help with relocation.

Boston Fire FIU was on scene and estimated damages to around $100,000. Boston EMS was on scene but luckily there were no injuries to report.
