Brutal Accident on Comm Ave Sends Two to Hospital with Life-Threatening-Injuries

Last night at approximately 19:00 hours last night Boston EMS Ambulance 9, Ambulance 14, Paramedic 16 and the Division 1 Lieutenant with Boston Fire and Boston Boston Police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck in the area of 1270 Commonwealth Ave in Allston.

On arrival, Ambulance 14 updated that two people had in fact been struck by a vehicle, and additional resources were added. Both victims suffered from serous injuries with one of the subjects injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Due to the severity of the injuries, full notifications were made. District and Homicide Detectives were called to the scene as well as members of the Crime Scene Response Unit and the Detectives of FCIT. Commonwealth Ave was shut down in both directions as the scene was secured for processing.

When Detectives arrived on scene they could be seen marking numerous pieces of evidence that were scattered throughout the roadway as well as the victims clothing, parts of which had been flung as far as the opposite side of the street. The car remained on scene with heavy front end damage.

At this time no further information is available. The crash is still under investigation with no word yet on if charges will be filed. We will update when we have further.
