Man Found Shot Multiple Times Yesterday in Dorchester

Yesterday morning, around 03:15 hours Boston Police Officers from District C-11 responded to the area of Parkman Street in Dorchester for a ShotSpotter activation. While units were canvassing the area, 911 began receiving calls for a person who had been shot.

The victim was eventually located near the intersection of Galvin Boulevard and Adams Street inside a vehicle. Also inside the vehicle were a number of other people including a very small child. It is still unclear at this time what the group was doing or why the child was present at the shooting.

Boston EMS EMTs and Paramedics met Officers on the side of the road where they quickly packaged and transported the adult male victim to a local area trauma center. The man who appeared to have been shot multiple times including in his chest, was transported with injuries considered to be life-threatening.

Due to the seriousness of the victims condition, full notifications were made with the homicide unit and crime scene response unit being notified to respond to the scene. After extensive canvassing Officers expertly located ballistic evidence at the intersection of victory Road and Adams Street in Dorchester a few blocks away from the original ShotSpotter.
