Woman Clings to Life After Shooting on Norfolk Street in Dorchester

At approximately 19:45 hours this evening, Boston Police Officers from District B-3 responded to reports of Shots fired in the area of 339 Norfolk Street in Dorchester. On arrival officers located a female victim suffering from apparent gun shot wounds.

Boston EMS quickly arrived on scene and began to treat the woman who appeared to have been shot in the torso. She was transported to a local area hospital with serious, life-threatening-injuries. At this time we have no further update on the woman’s condition.

Due to the seriousness of the woman’s injuries, full notifications were made. The Homicide Unit, District Detectives and the Crime Scene Response Unit were all called to the scene. They could be seen processing the evidence, specifically the area surrounding a vehicle with Florida plates.
