In the early Morning on December 15th, Boston Fire responded to 64 Charlesgate East for the report building fire. First arriving companies reported heavy fire showing from the roof. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire and thankfully all 64 residents of the building made it out safely. Sadly one cat was unaccounted for.
No injuries were reported and Boston EMS stood by for medical aid. Damages were estimated to be around $250,000. The MBTA sheltered displaced residents as well as the generous Father Tom from Saint Clements Shrine who graciously opened his doors.
