Facebook Argument Leads to Mission Main Stabbing on Christmas Eve

At approximately 16:20 hours on Christmas Eve, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 and Boston EMS responded to 44 Saint Alphonsus Street in the Mission Main Projects in Roxbury for reports of a person stabbed. Reporting parties stated a large fight had erupted between two families and that one woman had stabbed another.

On arrival officers located in adult female victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. Boston EMS quickly arrived and began caring for the woman, eventually transferring her to a local area hospital with what are considered to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On scene a suspect was detained and after speaking with multiple witnesses was placed under arrest. Mellisa Dipiro, 31-years-old of Boston, was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. She was taken back to District B-2 where she was proceeded for the vicious assault.

District Detectives were called to the scene where they could be seen processing multiple pieces of evidence including a bloody shirt and the suspected weapon used by Miss Dipiro. According to witnesses on scene the entire brawl began after a disagreement on Facebook.

To make matters more difficult, family members from both sides of fight continued to attempt to assault each other while officers were on scene, eventually forcing officers to disband both groups and send them home. At this time no further information is available.
