Juan Nazario, 18 Allegedly Fled with Body of Akeem Polimis, 17, After killig him Overnight

From the Boston Police Department:

At about 6:47 PM on Friday January 15, 2020, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 29 Ferndale Street in Dorchester. On arrival officers were unable to establish a crime scene in the immediate area of the call. While on scene, officers were advised that a possible suspect vehicle had fled prior to their arrival with Officers pursuing the vehicle down I-93, but due to safety concerns the pursuit was discontinued with the car last scene heading towards Quincy.

After a period of time, a vehicle matching the given description was located in the City of Quincy, Massachusetts, by members of the Quincy Police Department. Swat team members from both Quincy and Boston were called in and a short period of a stand off insured located a juvenile male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased on scene. The victim has since been identified as Akeem Polimis, 17, of Dorchester.

At about 11:30 AM on Saturday January 16, 2021, BPD Homicide Detectives arrested Juan Nazario, 18, of Dorchester in connection to the incident. The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit will continue to investigate this incident in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office along with members of the Massachusetts State Police and the Quincy Police Department. Further update and details will be provided in the morning.
