Successful Thursday Drug Raids Leads to the Recovery of Narcotics, Money and Multiple Firearms

Thursday morning members of the Boston Police Citywide Drug Control Unit, District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit, District E-5 (West Roxbury) Drug Control Unit, District C-11 (Dorchester) Drug Control Unit and the DEA Boston TDS Task Force conducted two raids, one in Allston and one in Dorchester. As a result of these Search warrants, a total of six illegal firearms were recovered as well as large amounts of narcotics, paraphernalia, and US Currency.

Allston Raid:

At about 10:13 AM on Thursday February 11, 2021, officers assigned to the District E-5 (West Roxbury) Drug Control Unit with assistance from members of the District C-11 (Dorchester) Drug Control Unit and the DEA Boston TDS Task Force executed three search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation in the area of 7 Higgins Street in Allston. As a result, officers were able to recover a loaded 9mm Jiminez Arms handgun, a loaded 9mm Ruger handgun, a loaded Taurus revolver, a quantity of fentanyl, approximately 47.5 grams of crack cocaine, several plastic bags of marijuana packaged for sale, assorted pills and drug paraphernalia as well as $4,324 in U.S. Currency. Officers then arrested the target of their investigation, Vladimir Florus, 30, of Allston, without incident.The suspect will appear in Brighton District Court on multiple charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (3 Counts), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, B and E Drugs.

Dorchester Raid:

At about 10:50 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2021, officers assigned to the District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit along with members of the BPD Citywide Drug Control Unit arrested Tevin Regis, 26, of Dorchester, on firearm and drug related charges following the execution of three search warrants in the area of 716 Columbia Road in Dorchester.

The warrants were applied for and granted in Dorchester District Court for the suspect, his vehicle and his residence. As a result, officers were able to safely recover a 7.62 x .39mm RAS47 rifle, a .40 caliber Glock 23, a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson MP Shield along with numerous rounds of ammunition and feeding devices. Officers also recovered a quantity of crack cocaine, a digital scale, packaging materials and other paraphernalia used for the preparation and distribution of illegal drugs as well as $2,660 in U.S. Currency.The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges including, Possession of a Machine Gun, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Firearm (2 Counts) and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs.
