Man Shot Overnight in Quiet Hyde Park Neighborhood

At approximately 02:39 hours this morning Boston EMS and Boston Police Officers from District E-18 responded to 15 Valencia Road in Hyde Park for the reports of a person shot. On arrival an adult male victim was found suffering from an apparent gun shot wound. The victim was struck at least once in the hip and with his wounds considered to be life threatening, and he was quickly transported to a local area trauma center.

Due to the seriousness of his injuries, full notifications were made with District Detectives, the Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Response Unit all being called to the scene. As of this evening, we luckily have received an update that the man is expected to recover from his injured. At this time no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
