Joint Gang Unit Investigation Leads to Arrest in Brockton

At about 10:40 AM on Wednesday March 3, 2021, Jose Cineas, 23, of Brockton, was placed in custody as a result of a joint investigation initiated by officers assigned to the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force and members of the Brockton Police Department in the area of 87 Colonel Bell Drive in Brockton. The suspect was arrested without incident following the execution of a search warrant issued out of Brockton District Court which led to the recovery of a loaded 9mm Kel Tec P11 handgun with an attached laser sight, a 9mm Poly 80 handgun equipped with a large capacity 30-round magazine, several large bags of marijuana and $5,960 in U.S. Currency along with other evidence associated with the packaging and selling of illegal drugs.

The suspect will face arraignment in Brockton District Court on multiple charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2 Counts), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs.
