Friday night shortly before 00:00 hours, Boston EMS and Boston Police responded to the intersection of Chestnut Hill Ave. and Chiswick Road in Brighton, after it was reported that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, crews located an elderly person in critical condition laying in the street after apparently being struck by an SUV.
The victim was thrown almost 15 feet and was not moving when located by EMTs. Full notifications were made with District Detectives, the Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Response Unit and FCI Team all responding to the scene due to the severity of the injuries. It is believed that driver remained on scene, however, Boston Police were unable to confirm this detail. At this time there is no word on charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
