Overnight on Thursday, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 76 Rockland Street in Roxbury. While responding to the call, additional calls were made for a person shot in the near vicinity. Boston EMS, EMTs, and Paramedics were quickly added and joined the response.
When Officers arrived on scene, they located a black car with the doors opens with ballistic damage and spent shell casings on the street. They were quickly directed inside of a nearby residence where the victim fled. The victim, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives were called to the scene and ballistic evidence was recovered and cataloged. At this time no arrests have been made.
