Early yesterday afternoon around 15:00 hours, Boston Police and EMS responded to the McDonald’s parking lot on Southampton Street for a reported person stabbed. When they arrived on scene, they found an adult male victim who had been stabbed in the leg, cutting his femoral artery.
The man was quickly rushed to a local area trauma center with what are considered serious life-threatening-injuries. Full notifications were made with District Detectives, Command Staff, members of the Homicide Unit and the Crime Scene Response Unit responding to the scene due to the severity of the injury. Multiple witnesses told us that the fight appeared to be between a homeless “resident” of the area and another suspect who fled the area in a vehicle.
Police at this time told us that no arrests have been made in relation to this incident and that the investigation is ongoing. As always, BPD is asking any member of the public who wishes to assisted with this investigation to anonymously call the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or to text the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
