Early Morning Crash Leaves Storefront Smashed on Blue Hill Ave

Early Tuesday morning, at approximately 03:30 hours, a vehicle crashed into a building in the area of Quincy Street and Blue Hill Ave. in Roxbury. Officers from B-2, Boston EMS, and the Boston Fire Department all responded to the scene, but the vehicle’s occupants had fled – leaving narcotics, used needles, and other drug paraphernalia scattered both inside the vehicle and on the street surrounding it.

They returned sometime later to retrieve personal items left behind at the scene of the crash. When spotted and apprehended by officers, they were put through Field Interrogation and Observation (FIO) and detailed briefly before being released. What at first appeared to be a firearm was recovered, but was ultimately a realistic style BB gun. One of the occupants of the vehicle was arrested on numerous other unrelated warrants – one of which was for auto theft of a different vehicle.

The incident is currently still under investigation with no charges being made as of late. As always, community members wishing to assist can do so by anonymously by contacting the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
