Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 15:30 hours, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 responded to a call for shots fired with a possible person shot. Video surveillance in the area captured the shooting, showing two men on a motorcycle opening fire on Sully’s Barber Shop on Tremont Street.
Initial investigation found blood inside the barber shop; however, after an extensive canvasing of the scene, no victims were able to be located and no victims self-presented to any local area hospitals. Shell casings were seen throughout the street, and detectives were called to catalog and process ballistic evidence including shell casings and ballistic damage to the storefront of the barber shop.
Roughly an hour later after the shooting was called in, Boston Fire Department got a call for a fire on George Street. The 911 caller reported seeing a group of youths pouring gasoline on a motorcycle and setting it on fire. Engine 14 of Roxbury responded, safely putting out the fire.
The FIU and B-2 District Detectives responded, and were able to positively identify the motorcycle as the same one in the surveillance video. Further investigation found that the motorcycle had been stolen.
