Runaway Arrested after B-2 Anti-Crime Units Find him with Gun

On Sunday, April 18, 2021, at about 6:02pm, officers made a firearm arrest in the area of 25 Bragdon Street, Roxbury. Officers assigned to an anti-crime unit observed a male juvenile who was reported missing. Upon seeing the officers approaching, the male juvenile began to separate himself from group he was walking with.

The juvenile was in possession of a red fanny pack that he was clutching tight to his body. The juvenile then ran down Columbus Avenue towards Bragdon Street. The juvenile was stopped in a rear yard on Bragdon Street.

A loaded Lorcin Model L380, .380 caliber automatic handgun with 5 rounds of ammunition was recovered in the juvenile’s fanny pack. Also located inside of the fanny pack was a small plastic bag containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

The juvenile was taken into custody and arrested for Trespassing; Delinquent to Wit- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; Delinquent to Wit- Unlawful Possession of Ammunition; Delinquent to Wit- Carrying a Loaded Firearm on a Public Way. The juvenile was also issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana by Juvenile.
