Thursday afternoon around 13:00 hours, Boston Police Officers from District C-6 received a call for an unknown disturbance at a room in the Cambria Hotel on West Broadway.
The officers tried to knock and no one answered, at which point the staff downstairs alerted officers outside that it appeared as if something was thrown from the window. Upon investigation, officers realized the thrown object was small purse containing multiple large bags of a white powdery substance. In addition to what is believed to be a large amount of narcotics, a small firearm was also located in the bag.
Officers went back upstairs and removed the man and woman out of the room. The woman was placed in handcuffs and both of them were detained. While officers were investigating the man began to make complaints and request EMS. Whether this is because of an actual medical need or simply because he did not want to go to jail, is still unknown. He was eventually transported by Boston EMS with less than serious issues. The woman was FIO’ed and released.
Detectives photographed the scene and recovered the discarded narcotics as well as the firearm. No one was charged at the scene, however charges are expected to be made once detectives conclude their investigation.
