Man Jumps to His Death Friday Night In Chinatown

Late last night, at approximately 22:00 hours, Boston EMS and Boston Police Officers from District A-1 responded to the parking area behind Moonvilla in Chinatown for reports of a person jumping from a window.

First responders arrived and immediately pronounced the man dead on scene. Witnesses in the area said that the man, who is believed to be in his early 20s, jumped from a 5th or 6th story window. Neighbors reported that this was not the first time BPD and BEMS were called in as a result of emotional distress, and that mental health issues more than likely had a role to play. District Detectives were called in to secure the area and process the scene.
