Shooting on Glenway Street Leaves At Least Two Injured

Saturday night, shortly before 00:00 hours, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 and B-3 responded to a ShotSpotter activation for over 20 rounds on Glenway Street in Dorchester. Officers and Command Staff who were already in the area of Franklin Park battling the low riders, raced down the street in search of victims and a scene.

The B-2 Lieutenant was first to arrive on scene, locating two people who had been shot as well as numerous spent shell casings laying in the street. He immediately radioed for EMS and additional units. One of the victims was shot in the arm, and the other was shot in the leg, both considered serious but non-life-threatening.

Boston EMS came to the aid of both victims, ultimately transporting them to a local area hospitals where they are expected to make a full recovery. Back in the area of the initial ShotSpotter, Detectives processed multiple spent shell casings and ballistic damage to vehicles in the area.
