Shots Fired Over the Weekend as Crime Ramps Up for Summer

563 Norfolk Street, Mattapan

Saturday morning approximately 03:45 hours, Boston Police Officers from District B-3 responded for a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 563 Norfolk Street, in Mattapan, for one round fired. Detectives processed ballistics, no further information is available at this time.


68 Ridgewood Street, Dorchester

Shortly after midnight Saturday morning at approximately 00:15 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District C-11 responded for a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 68 Ridgewood Street, in Dorchester for four rounds fired. Detectives processed ballistics, no further information is available at this time.


25 Shandon Road, Dorchester

Roughly 30 minutes later around 00:45 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District B-2 responded to the area of 25 Shandon Road, in Dorchester, for a ShotSpotter activation for 7 rounds.

Officers arrived on scene and observed ballistic damage to the home as well as aa nearby vehicle, along with spent shell casings in the immediate vicinity. It is thought that the incident may have been an Uber eats driver getting jumped gone wrong. The incident was caught on camera and suspect descriptions were given out; however, at this time no arrests have been made and no further information has been released.
