Woman Injured After Smashing Into UHaul in Dorchester

Shortly after midnight Saturday morning, Boston Police Officers assigned to District B-3 responded to 1111 Morton Street, in Dorchester, for reports of a serious motor vehicle accident with injuries to at least one person.

Officers arrived to the scene to find an orange SUV that had struck a U-Haul, causing it to flip. Boston EMS, Boston Fire, and Massachusetts State Police were called in, and the driver of the SUV was taken out of the car by the Boston Fire Department. She was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries but they have been deemed to be non-life-threatening.

The roadway was closed for about an hour while first responders and crews documented and cleaned up the crash. The cause of the crash is still unknown, and is currently being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police. No further information is available at this time.
