Shortly before midnight Saturday night, at approximately 23:15 hours, a Boston EMS Lieutenant on sighted a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in the area of the Mass Ave. Exit on I-93 Southbound.
The exact details of the crash aren’t known at this time, but one of the vehicles crashed into the other, sending one of the vehicles into the outer cement barrier. Both vehicles airbags were deployed, but to the surprise of both EMS and the Massachusetts State Troopers who were called in to the scene as well, there were no injuries and both parties refused EMS.
Massachusetts State Police closed off the area of the highway for almost 30 minutes while they documented the incident, and cleaned up the debris from the crash. The cause of the crash is still being investigated by Massachusetts State Police, and no further details have been released.
