Woman Already Wanted on Charges goes Wild in the Wild Duck

At 23:00 hours Saturday night, Boston Police Officers assigned to District A-1 responded to 660 Washington Street, Downtown, at Wild Duck Wine & Spirits for calls of an emotionally distressed woman smashing liquor bottles and attempting to fight customers.

Officers arrived to the establishment, and in their attempts to gain control of the situation, the woman swung a liquor bottle at officers as well as kicking one of them. Officers were able to de-escalate the situation and arrest the woman using minimal force and she was taken in for booking.

The woman, who has now been identified as Takara James, aged 27, of Boston, was placed under arrest, however her charges have yet to be finalized. She was found to have a previous warrant for Intent to Rob While Armed as well as Assault and Battery With a Deadly Weapon. When she is formally charged she is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
