Another Firearm Recovered in Dorchester Traffic Stop

Right at 19:00 hours Friday evening, Boston Police Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of Thornley Street and Pleasant Street, in Dorchester.

Officers approached the area to observe the suspect getting into a blue motor vehicle that was bearing temporary plates. The officers conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Whitby Terrance and Pleasant Street, where they recovered a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun with one round in the chamber along with eighth rounds in the magazine.

Boston Police Officers arrested Ramon Oquendo, 28, of Roxbury and he will be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
