Early Saturday morning, at approximately 01:30 hours, Boston Police assigned to District C-6, began receiving reports of multiple people wielding knives in the area of 151 Old Colony Ave, in Southie. As units started responding, the calls changed to now reports for a person stabbed.
Police arrived on scene and confirmed that there had been at least 3 people stabbed. They requested multiple ambulances to help treat the victims of the stabbing, and Boston EMS arrived within minutes to begin rendering aid.
Victims were transported to two different local area hospitals, and Police secured the scene to try and gather what had happened leading up to the incident. Witnesses in the area reported two groups had been seen fighting leading up to the incident, when it escalated after at least two individuals pulled knives. Some of the involved person’s “low rider” type vehicles could be seen parked in the middle of the street, leading residents to again voice concerns over the roving mobs of loud, customized cars that have been plaguing the city.
The victims are expected to survive after sustaining serious but non-life-threatening injuries. One man was seen in cuffs, however BPD has not confirmed the arrest or made the current status of the investigation known at this time.
