One Suspect in Custody After Two Males Were Intercepted Attempting Theft of Catalytic Converters

Sometime between 03:00 and 04:00 hours this morning, District C-11 Boston Police Officers were patrolling their area when they came across two males who were attempting to cut off the catalytic converter on a parked vehicle in the area.

Boston Police interrupted the crime and were able to stop it all together. When they went to pursue the two, one of them took off toward the area of Washington Street, Ashmont Street, and Burt Street in Dorchester. The other was successfully detained and was seen violently puking in the street as well as crying before he was taken back to the station.

Arrest identification has not yet been posted by BPD, but will be updated pending release.
