Dorchester Intersection Gets Shot Up Twice in One Night

The intersection of East Street and Church Street in Dorchester was busy Saturday night as reports for shots fired were called in two separate times late last night: first shortly before 22:00 hours and then again right before midnight.

Boston Police Officers for C-11 of Dorchester, responded to the first call in the area at 12 East Street where the 911 caller reported hearing four rounds fired. Police and District Detectives were able to recover the shell casings and receive a vehicle description for a potential shooter that fled in a black Infinity or Nissan that headed down Dorchester Ave. Police were unable to locate the vehicle, and shots were reported again roughly two hours later.

District Detectives processed the ballistic evidence, some of which led up to the front of one of the residences surrounding the intersection, but it is unknown if that was a direct target or just a result of the large number of rounds fired in the area.
