Arrest Made After Man is Brutally Assaulted Near the Library by Copley Sq.

Early this morning at approximately 01:15 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District D-4 responded to the area of Copley Square for reports of an assault on the steps of the library.

Units responded and found one victim that had been assaulted and left in the street near the Public Library. Boston EMS responded to the scene and began rendering aid before transporting him to a local area hospital.

The assault, which is believed to have been carried out by two male suspects, led to the arrest of one, with the other still outstanding. The arrest information for the one that was taken into custody has not yet been released. There has been no update on the condition of the victim or the other suspect in connection to the incident, and no further information is available at this time.
