At approximately 21:00 hours Tuesday night, Boston Police Officers assigned to District C-6 and the Boston Police Gang Unit responded to the area oof 187 Orton Marotta Way in Southie for the reports of shots fired.
Officers arrived and located two adult male victims that had clearly sustained gunshot wounds. Boston EMS was called and immediately responded to the scene to transport both victims to local hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. Full notifications were made to District Detectives, Command Staff, Homicide Unit, and Crime Scene Response Investigators. Evidence was processed including two recovered firearms.
There have been rumors of the shooting being a case of the two victims shooting one another, rather than one shooter resulting in the shooting of two victims, but these reports have not been confirmed by BPD as the incident is still under active investigation. Both men are expected to survive now that their injuries have been deemed stable. No further information is available at this time.
