At approximately 20:50 hours late Friday night, Boston Police Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to the area of 11 Abbotsford Street, in Dorchester, for reports of a person shot.
Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, a 17 year old teenager, inside the residence that had been shot in the leg. He was conscious and talking, and transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Additional units were called to shut down Walnut Ave nearby. Spent shell casings were seen in the streets and District Detectives along with members of the K-9 unit were called in to process ballistic evidence.
At this time, the teenager is expected to survive now that he has been deemed stable. Witnesses did not seem to be forth coming, however they were able to establish that a grey two door sedan had been seen fleeing up the street. There is no suspect update at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
