Woman Rear Ends Trooper in East Boston

Early Thursday morning, at roughly 02:30 hours, a Massachusetts State Trooper from the H-9 Tunnles Barricks was rear ended in front of Neptune Convenience Store in East Boston by a woman in a yellow Mustang.

The operator of the Mustang appeared severely intoxicated, and was observed swaying and falling in and out of an alert state while she was being taken into custody in handcuffs. Luckily there was only minor damages to the vehicles and no one was injured as she could have easily veered into another person or off the road and injured herself given her highly intoxicated state.

A statement from MSP identified the driver as MARIANA GARCIA, 24, of East Boston. According to their report she was operating a 2002 Ford Mustang when she struck the rear of a State Police Cruiser on Neptune Road at Bennington Street. Ms Garcia was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, OUI-Liquor, and Vehicle Equipment Violation. She was transported to State Police-Tunnels for booking.
