Multi-Car MVA Causes Porch Collapse in Mattapan

Early Sunday morning, shortly after 01:00 hours, Boston Police, Boston Fire, and Boston EMS responded to a house on Walk Hill Street, in Mattapan, for a motor vehicle accident in which a car had plowed into the front porch of the residence.

The homeowner told us they had just remodeled the porch, the last coat of paint drying a few days prior. Initial investigation concluded that a multi-vehicle motor vehicle accident caused one vehicle to veer off the road, first hitting a fire-hydrant before it ricocheted into the front porch of the home.

One driver was transported by Boston EMS with minor injuries. Three vehicles were damaged in the process along with the one structure. The roadway was shutdown for some time while crews cleaned up the debris that had scattered fairly far down the sidewalk due to the extensive damage from the collisions. There has been no word on possible charges and no further information has been released at this time.
