3 Guns 2 Kids, NH Teens Arrested in Mattapan on Firearms Charges

At about 10:42 PM on Tuesday June 22, 2021, officers assigned to the BPD Youth Violence Strike Force arrested two 17-year-old males from Manchester, NH, on firearm related charges following a traffic stop in the area of Norfolk Street and Withington Street in Mattapan.

The officers had stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic infraction while on patrol in the area of Norfolk Street and Woodrow Avenue when they removed the occupants pursuant to their investigation.

Officers were then able to safely recover three firearms from various locations throughout the vehicle. The weapons were determined to be a loaded 9mm Glock 43X handgun, a loaded .38 caliber Smith and Wesson Bodyguard with five rounds in the cylinder and a 9mm Canik TP9 along with two additional large capacity magazines and one single loose rifle round.

The two 17-year-old males were placed in custody without incident and charged with Delinquent to Wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. They are both expected to be arraigned in Dorchester Juvenile Court.
