Yesterday evening, at approximately 16:45 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District A-1 and Boston EMS responded to the alley behind the area of 470 Atlantic Avenue, for a reported body with multi-system trauma.
Police Officers and EMTs arrived to the scene and the individual was pronounced deceased immediately upon being found. Detectives were called in to investigate and found that the person had come from the rooftop of the building next to the Intercontinental Hotel. They were found with a note in their pocket, indicating that they had in fact jumped intentionally. Guests of the hotel were on the back patio as the individual was taken by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
At this time foul play is not thought to be suspected, however this was unable to be confirmed by BPD. The investigation is still ongoing pending the Medical Examiner’s office ruling on an official cause of death.
